Le Maroc Hôte de la Journée Mondiale des Aides à la Navigation Maritime à Tanger
Tanger, 4-5 juillet 2023 – Le Royaume du Maroc a brillamment accueilli l’édition 2023 de la Journée Mondiale des Aides à la Navigation, organisée en partenariat avec l’Association Internationale de Signalisation Maritime (AISM), les 4 et 5 juillet à Tanger.
Sous la présidence de Mustafa Fares, Secrétaire Général du Ministère de l’Equipement et de l’Eau, l’événement a rassemblé des experts éminents de la navigation maritime, des gestionnaires des Aides à la Navigation, ainsi que des participants du monde entier, soulignant l’importance cruciale de la sécurité maritime dans le contexte mondial.
La cérémonie d’ouverture a été marquée par des discours inspirants mettant en lumière le rôle essentiel de la navigation maritime dans l’économie mondiale, avec une attention particulière portée sur le rôle clé du Maroc dans le maintien de la sécurité le long de ses 3 500 km de côtes.
L’événement a également été l’occasion d’honorer le phare “Cape Spartel” qui a reçu le prestigieux prix “Heritage Lighthouse of the Year 2023” décerné par le Secrétaire Général de l’AISM.
La première journée a été dédiée à une conférence technique qui a permis d’explorer le rôle crucial des aides à la navigation maritime dans la sécurité des traversées, ainsi que les dernières évolutions technologiques dans ce domaine. Une exposition a également réuni les principaux acteurs et membres industriels de l’AISM, ainsi que des participants internationaux venus de pays tels que la France, l’Italie, l’Espagne, le Danemark, le Japon, la Malaisie, le Cameroun et la Guinée.
La journée s’est clôturée par une visite au phare de Cap Spartel, honoré en tant que “Phare patrimonial de l’année 2023” au niveau mondial.
La deuxième journée a été marquée par des visites techniques, dont celles du Centre de Surveillance du Trafic Maritime au Détroit de Gibraltar, du Port de Tanger Med, et du Port de plaisance de Tanger Ville. Des visites culturelles au cœur de la ville de Tanger ont également enrichi l’expérience des participants.
Morocco Hosts World Marine Aids to Navigation Day in Tangier
Tangier, July 4-5, 2023 – The Kingdom of Morocco brilliantly hosted the 2023 edition of World Marine Aids to Navigation Day, organized in collaboration with the IALA, on July 4 and 5 in Tangier.
Under the presidency of Mustafa Fares, Secretary General of the Ministry of Equipment and Water, the event brought together eminent maritime navigation experts, Aids to Navigation managers, as well as participants from around the world, highlighting the crucial importance of maritime security in the global context.
The opening ceremony was marked by inspiring speeches highlighting the essential role of maritime navigation in the global economy, with particular attention paid to Morocco’s key role in maintaining security along its 3 500 km of coastline.
The event was also an opportunity to honor the “Cape Spartel” lighthouse which received the prestigious “Heritage Lighthouse of the Year 2023” prize awarded by the Secretary-General of IALA.
The first day was dedicated to a technical conference which explored the crucial role of Marine Aids to Navigation in the safety of crossings, as well as the latest technological developments in this area. An exhibition also brought together the main players and industrial members of IALA, as well as international participants from countries such as France, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Japan, Malaysia, Cameroon and the Guinea.
The day ended with a visit to the Cap Spartel lighthouse, honored as the “Heritage Lighthouse of the Year 2023” globally. The second day was marked by technical visits, including those of the Maritime Traffic Monitoring Center at the Strait of Gibraltar, the Port of Tanger Med, and the marina of Tanger Ville. Cultural visits to the heart of the city of Tangier also enriched the participants’ experience.
