Letter from Sabik Marine & Sealite

Dear IALA Industry Colleagues,

We are proud to announce that SPX Corporation has recently acquired Sealite Pty Ltd and affiliated businesses Avlite Systems and Star2M. These businesses have now become a key operating business unit in the SPX Aids to Navigation platform, alongside Sabik Marine.

Both Sabik and Sealite have a deep history of product innovation within visual Aids to Navigation, driven by long-standing relationships with the extended IALA community and clients in most parts of the world.

We are excited by the opportunities this transaction creates for our customers and employees. Sealite’s well-known brand, strong technology, world-class products and distribution network are an excellent fit with SPX’s current existing AtoN businesses, Sabik Marine and Flash Technology.

Headquartered near Nashville, Tennessee in the USA, Flash Technology designs, manufactures, and sells aviation obstruction and airfield ground lighting solutions. In addition, the Sabik Marine business designs, manufactures and sells marine signal lighting solutions worldwide and is headquartered near Helsinki, Finland. Together this combination of Flash Technology, Sabik Marine, and Sealite products and channel capabilities provides a stronger, more competitive solution to better serve the global AtoN equipment market.

Sabik Marine and Sealite share a common philosophy and commitment to exceeding customer expectations. The combination of these world-class businesses will create an even stronger organization, capable of meeting navigational safety needs into the future across a broader range of solutions, and with greater speed, efficiency and flexibility. Moreover, our combined organizational resources will better enable us to innovate, develop new products, and further improve our customer service and technical support capabilities across the globe.

In time, our integrated solutions will deliver a seamless customer experience across the combined product categories of obstruction lighting for aviation, marine signal lighting, electronic navigation, buoyage systems, airfield ground lighting, remote monitoring platforms and more.

As we work through our integration, we remain committed to serving you and your needs. We also remain committed to our ongoing contribution to IALA technical committees and workshops.

Whether you are a customer of Sabik Marine or Sealite, your support will continue with existing customer service contact(s).  Our businesses will operate as usual and should there be changes in the future that are applicable to your organisation, we will communicate with you as early and often as possible.  We thank you in advance for your understanding and continued support.

We share great excitement that the entrepreneurial spirit and values that worked to underpin the success of our separate businesses, will be even more effective together.

Sincerely,
