VTS49 Update No.1

1.1.1.1 Update Guideline 1089 to be inline with Revised IMO Resolution on Vessel Traffic Services post adoption.

  • Any comments on input documents 8.2.6 and 8.2.6.1 to be provided to the Task Group Leader Barry Goldman (barry.goldman@btinternet.com) by 24 September 2020 1100 UTC. Before commenting, participants may wish to check whether the relevant issue already has been dealt with as recorded in input document 8.2.6.2.
  • The Task Group will only deal with comments received by 24 September 2020, 1100 UTC that are not editorial and meet on the 25 September 2020, 0900 – 1030 UTC if necessary.
  • If no comments are received the Task Group will NOT meet and the draft will be submitted to the Committee Management Team for consideration for silent approval.

1.1.2      Review and update R0119 and G1150 on the Implementation of Vessel Traffic Services.

  • Any comments on input documents 8.1.4, 8.1.4.1 and 8.1.4.2 to be provided to the Task Group Leader Neil Trainor (neil.trainor@amsa.gov.au) by 24 September 2020 1100 UTC.
  • The Task Group will only deal with comments received that are not editorial and meet on the 28 September 2020, 0800 – 0900 UTC if necessary.
  • If no comments are received the Task Group will NOT meet and the draft will be submitted to the Committee Management Team for consideration for silent approval.

1.2.1   Review and update V-127 on Operational Procedures for Vessel Traffic Services

  • Any comments on input documents 8.2.7 and 8.2.7.1 to be provided to the Task Group Leader Trond Ski (trond.ski@kystverket.no) by 24 September 2020 1100 UTC.
  • The Task Group will only deal with comments received that are not editorial and meet if necessary.
  • If no comments are received the Task Group will NOT meet and the draft will be submitted to the Committee Management Team for consideration for silent approval.

1.4.1   Update and publish the VTS Manual and develop related procedures for its future management

  • Procedures for updating the VTS Manual to be finalized between the Secretariat and the Committee Management Team. Any comments on input papers 8.4.1 and 8.4.1.1 to be sent to the Task Leader, Neil Trainor (neil.trainor@amsa.gov.au).
