Getting back to business as usual, IALA WWA courses are provided in a residential, face-to-face setting.

In 2024 The IALA World-Wide Academy will still offer some online courses, but the preferred format will be the face to face residential format.

The training opportunities listed below are available or are planned to take place. Confirmed courses will also appear in the IALA main calendar.

Course fees

You can find the fees for courses delivered by the Academy where the course programme is described. For courses delivered by others, the course fees are set by the accredited training organisation delivering the course. The availability of spaces on each course may vary with national or regional requirements.

Academy sponsorship may be available for individuals from coastal States in need of assistance to develop their AtoN capacity. If you feel you may be eligible for sponsorship please contact the World-Wide Academy by e-mail at Academy@iala.int

AtoN Technician training (Level 2)

Vessel Traffic Service training

VTS training is conducted by a network of accredited training organisations ATOs. Each accredited training organisation publishes its own course schedule and entry requirements and course fees may vary. The link to the list of VTS ATOs here.
